The past simple:
Egg: We watched a good film on TV last night.
I didn’t get up late yesterday morning.
What did you do last weekend?
Form:
(+) S + V-ed/Past form(V2)
(-) S + didn’t + V-bare
(?) Did + S +V- inf?
Use: Talk about an action that happened in the past with adverbs: yesterday, last …, … ago, in…
1. Work with partner. Ask and answer questions about what each person did on the weekend.
What did Ba do on the weekend?
He went to see a movie called “Ghosts and Monsters”
When did he see?
He saw it on Saturday afternoon at two o’clock.
2. Lan and her friends are holding a farewell party for Maryam. Write the things they did to prepare for the party. Use the pictures and words in the box.

GRAMMAR:
Cấu trúc câu điều ước ở hiện tại.

*Cách dùng : để diễn tả điều ước trái với sự thật ở hiện tại ( không có thật ở hiện tại)

*cấu trúc : S1 + wish(es)+S2 +V2/Ved+… .

b. You don’t have a computer.
I wish I had a computer.
c. You live very far from school.
I wish I didn’t live very far from school.
d. You can not draw well.
I wish I could draw well.
e. You don’t have your friend’s phone number.

f. There aren’t any rivers and lakes in your hometown.
 I wish there were rivers and lakes in my hometown.
