Lưu ý:
- tính từ đuôi “y” => “ier”. happy- happier
- tính từ đuôi “e”=> thêm “r”. large – larger
- Tính từ đuôi nguyên âm + phụ âm => gấp đôi phụ âm và thêm “er”. big - bigger
a, so sánh hơn với tính từ ngắn vần.
Tính từ ngắn (short adj) là tính từ có:
+1 âm tiết: big, tall, small,….
+ 2 âm tiết (tận cùng là các chữ: y, ow, le, et, er): happy, narrow, simple, quiet....
