Topic 3: In many parts of the world, illiteracy rates are still high. What do you think are the causes of this? What solutions can you suggest?
Today education in many countries has faced with a wide range of problems and one of the most concerning is illiteracy rates are still high in many parts of the world. The following essay will attempt to present the reasons and then offer some potential ways to address them.
One rationale that can be given to explain this problem is many countries are developing and many countries are even very poor. People over there such as in Africa cannot earn their living, and they are even starving. As a result, they cannot go to school and they are illiterate.
Further more the educational system in many countries is very weak. Sometimes they cannot build schools and sometimes they do not have enough teachers. Children are not taught; therefore, there are many people who cannot read or write.
There are several concrete steps we can take to solve this. First, international organizations such as UNO, WB or powerful countries should support these countries to develop. When the country is developed, its people can learn well. Second, governments should build schools
enough for children to learn. Finally, governments should train sufficient teachers so that they can teach children well.
Considering all the causes and effects put forward, we have arrived at the conclusion that illiteracy rates are still high in many parts of the world. We should help these countries to develop, support them to build schools and train teachers so that children can be taught well.
Topic 4: In some countries, it can be very difficult for people over the age of 50 to get good jobs, despite their experience.
What do you think are the causes of this problem and what measures could be taken to solve it?
Some countries have faced with a wide range of problems and one of the most concerning is it can be very difficult for people over the age of 50 to get good jobs, despite their experience. The following essay will attempt to present the reasons and then offer some potential ways to address them.
One rationale that can be given to explain this is people over the age of 50 are going to retire, and they will work for the company for about ten years. Then the company/agency will employ other people to replace them.
Further more, they are a little old, and they may be often sick. They may be absent from work or they may be in need of medical service.
There are several concrete steps we can take to solve this. These people should be employed in some parts to support young people to work well. They should train young co-workers and give them advice when they need.
Considering all the causes and effects put forward, we have arrived at the conclusion that people over the age of 50 should be employed so that they can share their valuable experience with young coworkers.
Topic 5: Cheating in school exams has been a serious concern since time immemorial.
Why do you think children cheat in exams? What are the solutions you suggest to solve this ubiquitous practice?
Good luck!
