*INDIA:
Located in southern Asia
It is the seventh largest country by area.
The second most populous in the world with over 1.33 billion people.
The country has a long-standing and developed culture, which is clearly shown through architecture, religion and festivals….
CULTURAL DIVERSITY IN INDIA
*Architecture:
+The architectural works are always magnificent and timeless.
+ Great influence on religion.
*FESTIVALS:
+India festivals take place with the wish of a happy life, fighting off evils, preserving good things, gods always by your side to protect people.
*TRADITIONAL COSTUMES:
+Special and unique, with striking colors.
+ Soft, expensive materials.
+Woman wear jewelry to magnify their beauty.
*Languages:
+The first script was Brahmi, followed by Sanskrit and today official language is Hindi and English.
*RELIGIONS:
-Hinduism( main religion).
- Christianity, Buddhism, Jainism……

COMPARISONS BETWEEN TRADITIONAL AND MORDERN INDIA WEDDINGS:
THE SIMILARITIES:
+ Child marriage.
+ Arranged marriage.
+ The dowry of the girl`s house.
+ The etiquette has not changed.
+ The wedding takes place for a long time.
THE DIFFERENCES:
+India`s child marriage ban imposes a fine and parents will spend two years in prison.
+The wedding will be held within 36 hours.
+Weddings increasingly simple and small scale.
What do you think about wedding in India?
-There are still backward customs and superstitions.
-Arranged marriages and early marriages are not strictly dealt with.
- Women are treated unfairly and have to pay all the money for their weddings.
-They come together due to coercion and without real love.
-Bringing much suffering and humiliation to the women
