“Family Life”
Let’s start
3
As you know
Vietnam has 2 types of popular family. There are
-The nuclear family
And
-The extended family
4
And the first, I found that:
In our class, there are 33 students live in a nuclear family, and 12 students live in an extended family
The survey results
Beside that, our class has 45 students who have both parents working with many different professions
Moreover, there are 45 students spend at least one hour a day doing housework to help their family. Althought they have a lot of homework, exercise and online classes, they are very happy to be able to share the household duties with their parents. It sounds so great.
5
The survey results
After that, there are 25 students have parents who spend at least one our a day helping them with their homeworks. Other classmate’s family their parents are usually quite busy so they can’t help their children with the homeworks. And my classmates they understand the hardships of parents.
What does my classmates
think about the ideal family
is like?
In my point of view, the answer to this question varies from person to person. The reason because of which I say this is that, the word `ideal` is relative. But speaking in general terms first of all an `ideal` family must be one where all the members have love and respect for each other. Where all the members exist peacefully and in perfect harmony, an ideal family is who having good relation ship without any misunderstanding and spending time together for most of the time. My classmates think the same as me and they add the ideal family is that parents both work to share the financial burden and do the household duties together
7
My opinion about household chores
8
9
Nowadays when society develop day by day, people have less time in doing chores, especially women. Not only do they have full-time of job, but they also take care of children and do the housework. In my opinion, family members should share housework together. One reason is that sharing housework can connect family members. Adult members do labors like laundry and cooking, children just do simple chores like watering garden or making their bed. Sharing housework makes us feel less tired and equal.
10
Doing household chores as well as sharing household chores has many advantages.
Firstly, when all family members share the housework together, it helps us get closer and reduce burden for the mothers.
Secondly, doing household chores helps children a lot, too. They will become more sociable, more active and care more about others and they will also learn to take care of their family.
Thirdly, when men share the housework, they tend to have a better relationship with their wives. That would be a great example for their children to follow.
Finally, doing housework brings knowledge organization of things, especially children. They will know how to keep their belongings tidied and everything kept clean as well. In conclusion, most people think the housework is only for women; however, all of us should share the household chores due to all reasons mentioned above.
The advantage of sharing household
After finding information, there are some reasons we should share the household duties
1. Sense of Responsibility
2. Have purpose to do everything
3. Preparation for employment
4. Make our life easier
5. Chores may make your child more accountable
6. Teach empathy
7. Gain an appreciation and understanding of currency
11
Next, I will share with you about doing housework in my family
12
My family has 4 people, including my parents, my older brother and me. We think and agree that all member should share the household duties, so we split the domestic chores equally. My dad is the breadwinner and he is the strongest people in my family so that he usually does the heavy lifting. Besides, he also help my mum a lot, such as washing dishes, preparing for a meal, laying the tables, doing the laundry,…. My mum does most of the cooking and shopping for groceries. Being a older child in the family, my brother always help my mum doing the housework. He waters the tree, help my father prepare the lunch and dinner, does the washing up,… and sometimes, he does the cooking if my mum busy. My responsibilities include taking out the rubbish, cleaning the fridge, hang on the clothes,… You can see my family share the housework equally, so I am very happy about that
