Comparative
We use the comparative to compare one person/thing with
another.
• Short adjectives/adverbs:
adjective/adverb-er (+ than)
The food festival this year lasted longer than the one last year.
• Long adjectives/adverbs:
more/less + adjective/adverb (+ than)
She sang more beautifully than anyone else in the concert.
• Irregular adjectives/adverbs: good/well – better, bad/badly –
worse, much/many – more, little – less

Superlative

We use the superlative to compare one person/thing with
