It is celebrated on the 25th December.
In X-mas day, British people often spend at home with their family.
Activities:
Sending of X-mas cards
Decorating X-mas tree
Decorating houses with evergreens.
Preparation of traditional food.
Sweet mince pies
Rich X-mas cake
X-mas pudding
Roast turkey
Roast beef
Presenting gifts.
Boxing day

Boxing day is usually celebrated on the following day after Christmas day, which is the 26th December.
Traditionally, boxing day was the day to open the Christmas box to share the contents with the servants and tradesmen.
Today many people still give an annual Christmas gift to regular callers such as dustmen and paperboys/girls

Visiting family and friends.
Playing football and other sporting fixtures.
Shopping.
Hunting
New year day
New Year`s Day is a public holiday in Britain on January 1st each year.
New year Day is often launched with a party- either at home with family and friends or a gathering in the local pubs and clubs.

He/she usually brings a piece of coal, a loaf, and the bottle of whisky.
