Nguyễn Thị Thanh Phúc sinh năm 1990 tại Đà Nẵng. Cô nằm trong thành phần đội tuyển điền kinh Việt Nam tham dự tất cả các giải đấu. Cô thi đấu ở nội dung đi bộ. Trong suốt sự nghiệp thi đấu của mình, cô đã đạt được những thành tích khá ấn tượng. Cô đạt huy chương vàng nội dung 20km đi bộ tại các kì Seagames 2011, 2013, 2015 và thành tích huy chương đồng tại giải vô địch đi bộ Châu Á năm 2012 và huy chương bạc cũng tại giải này vào năm 2013. Ở Olympics 2012 tại London cô đã phá kỷ lục quốc gia nội dung đi bộ 20 km nữ.
