CONDITIONAL SENTENCES
Type 0: Câu điều kiện hiện tại luôn có thật
Form:
If + S + Simple present , S+ Simple present

Eg1: If you put ice under the sun, it melts.




Eg2: If you don’t eat, you get hungry.
Type 1: Điều kiện có thể xảy ra ở hiện tại, tương lai
Form:
If + S + Simple present, S + simple future

Eg1: If I have time, I will visit you.

Eg2: If it is sunny, I will go fishing.


Eg3: If he has enough money, he will buy a new car.
Type 2: Điều kiện không có thật ở hiện tại
Form:
If + S + Simple past, S +would + Vbare

Note: Tobe dùng Were cho tất cả các ngôi ( trong Mệnh đề If)
Eg1: If I were you, I would not do this.

Eg2: If she had much money , she would buy a villa.



Eg3: I would send her an invitation if I found her address.







Type 3: Đk không có thật trong quá khứ


Form:
If +S + Past perfect, S + would have+ PPII

Eg1: Yesterday, if I had found her address, I would have sent her an invitation.

Eg2: Last year, if I had studied hard, I would have passed my exams.

=> I would buy a house if I had enough money.
4. The weather isn’t better now, so we can’t go for a walk.
If the weather were better now, we could go for a walk.
5. I don’t know his address, and I don’t give it to you.
=> If I kwew his address, I could give it to you.
Rewrite
6.He does not work slowly enough, so he makes many mistakes.
=> He wouldn’t make any mistakes If he worked slowly enough.
7. I am not sent to prison. She doesn’t visit me
=> If I am sent to prison, She will visit me.
8. I don’t win a big prize in a lottery, so I don’t give up my job.
=> I will give up my job if I win a big prize in a lottery.
9. The doctor can’t see many patients because he is so late.
=> If the doctor weren’t so late, He could see many patients.
10. We don’t visit them in Hanoi because tickets are expensive
=> If the tickets were cheap, we would visit them in Hanoi.
