C. Superlative degree- so sánh hơn nhất:

Exceptions:
Cách thêm ‘-er’ với short adj.
Tính từ ngắn là tính từ:
- có một âm tiết
Ví dụ: big (to), small (nhỏ), short (thấp)
- có hai âm tiết kết thúc bằng "-y"
Ví dụ: happy (vui vẻ), ugly (xấu xí), pretty (đẹp)
Các tính từ 2 âm tiết kết thúc bằng "le, et, er, ow" cũng có thể được dùng như tính từ ngắn.
Ví dụ:
simple - simpler (đơn giản hơn)
quiet - quieter (yên tĩnh hơn)
clever - cleverer (khéo léo hơn)
narrow - narrower (hẹp hơn)

. Meaning: càng ngày càng ....,
mỗi lúc một ..... hơn.
- Nam is getting fatter and fatter.
- Lan is more and more beautiful.
