The typical American characteristics
b. America is a large country with people from different backgrounds and races so it is difficult to talk about the typical American. However, it is believed that there are some characteristics shared by most Americans.
d. Perhaps the most important of these is individuality and individual rights. This characteristic originates in the days of the founding fathers, who were very strong individuals. Americans value and freedom and do not like to be dependent on other people.
f. The second characteristic is that Americans are practical. They place great value on doing things for themselves. They also avoid taking jobs which beyond their ability.
