Task 1: Read the advantages and disadvantages of television and answer the questions below.
There are several advantages of television. First, television helps us to learn more about the world and to know and see many new things. Second, it can make things memorable because it presents information in an effective way. Third, it entertains us. Watching it is an enjoyable way to relax. Fourth, it increases the popularity of sport and games.
There are, however, some disadvantages of television. First, television make us passive. We don’t have to think so our brains become lazy. Second, it encourages us to buy things that we don’t need. Third, it takes time away from activities such as reading and games.
