It is one of six major international languages.
English is used as the 1st language in at least 75 countries around the world.
About 375,000,000 people speak it as a second language and no one knows how many people speak it as a foreign language
It has more words than any other languages, 500,000 words and 300,000 technical terms.
the grammar is simpler than any other languages
Immigration, new technologies, popular culture and even war have contributed to the growth of English
Now there many varieties of English in the world such as British English, American English, Autralian English, Indian English.....
There are many differences in accents and dialects between varieties of English.
