Hello everyone. I'm Mark. Today I'm
going to talk about Thanksgiving, or
Turkey Day. It's a national holiday.
People from Canada and the USA
celebrate it every year to be thankful
for successful harvests. In the USA, we
celebrate it on the fourth Thursday of
November. We usually prepare a feast
for family and friends. Both adults and
children take part in the food
preparation. Some of the traditional
foods are turkey, sweet potatoes, and
cornbread. After the meal, we play
board games together. My family
usually takes this opportunity to help
others. My parents volunteer to cook
and serve food to homeless people.

Dear Mark,
How are you? I'm going to tell you about Tet holiday in
Vietnam, my favourite festival. We often celebrate it
once every year on some days from the end of the
twelfth lunar month to celebrate an upcoming
year. "Banh chung" is the traditional food associated
with Tet holiday. I wholeheartedly like the festival due
to the fact that at Tet, my family has a chance to
reunite and I am given lucky money in red envelopes. 
I hope one day you can join the festival with us.

Bạn khỏe không? Mình sẽ kể cho bạn nghe về ngày Tết của mình ở Việt
Nam, cũng là lễ hội yêu thích của mình. Chúng mình thường tổ chức lễ
hội này mỗi năm một lần vào một số ngày từ cuối tháng mười hai âm
lịch để ăn mừng một năm sắp tới. Bánh Chưng là món ăn truyền thống
gắn liền với ngày Tết. Mình rất thích lễ hội này vì Tết đến gia đình có dịp
đoàn tụ, và mình được nhận lì xì trong phong bao đỏ.
Mình hy vọng một ngày nào đó bạn có thể tham gia lễ hội này với
chúng mình.
