- Practice the conversation(p43)
Tom: What's the best way to stop global warming?
Liz: Hmm. I'm not sure. Is switching to solar power a good idea?
Tom: I think it would be too expensive.
Liz: OK. Would prohibiting cars in city centers be a better
solution?
Tom: I think so. It will reduce CO2 emissions.
Liz: Maybe you're right. I think using clean public
transportation might be a good solution.
Tom: I'm not so sure. Switching to electric buses will be very
expensive.
Tom: What's the best way to stop global warming?
Liz: Hmm. I'm not sure. Is asking people to save electricity a good
idea?
Tom: I think it would be difficult to do.
Liz: OK. Would increasing tax on fuel be a better solution?
Tom: I don't think so. It will make people angry.
Liz: Maybe you're right. I think using electric cars might be a good
solution.
Tom: I'm not so sure. They're too expensive to buy for some
people.
Tom: What's the best way to stop global warming?
Liz: Hmm. I'm not sure. Is using wind power a good idea?
Tom: I think it would be too unreliable.
Liz: OK. Would increasing the price of cars and motorbikes
be a better solution?
Tom: I don't think so. It won't stop people from buying them.
Liz: Maybe you're right. I think riding bicycles to work might
be a good solution.
Tom: I'm not so sure. Riding bicycles is dangerous in some
cities.
