Listening:
Woman: Tonight on Wild on One, Dr. Simon Wheatley is here to
talk to us about endangered animals. Why are many animals
becoming endangered, Dr. Wheatley?
Dr. Wheatley: Well, there are many reasons. Plastic pollution,
for example, is killing sea turtles. The turtles think plastic bags
are food and eat them. This can injure or even kill them.
Woman: That's terrible.
Dr. Wheatley: And the illegal pet trade is another reason it puts
Macaws in danger. People take them from the rainforests and
keep them as pets.

their fur.

because of habitat loss. People destroy forests and don't think
about the animals living there.
