II. Pronunciation
Homophone:
Homophone are words ( or combinations of words) that have different spellings and meanings but the same pronunciation.

III. Grammar
1.The past simple and the past continuous (REVIEW)
Ex: They were sleeping when the dam broke.
S+ was/ were + V-ing + O
to talk about a past action in progress
S+ V2/ V-ed + O
to talk about a shorter action that interrupted it
Ex: Hoa was always playing game on cell phone.

That past continuous can be used with always, constantly to describe repeated or irritating actions or events in the past. It is similar to “ used to” , but usually has negative meaning.
Exercise: Put the verb in brackets in the past simple or the past continuous.
