In Vietnam the Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most celebrated festivals for children. It is traditionally held on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month. It is the way for parents to show their love to the children after the harvest season. Trung Thu activities are often centered around children and education. Parents buy lanterns for their children procession at dawn. Children also perform traditional Vietnamese dances and participate in contest for prizes and scholarships. In condition, Vietnamese parents tell their children fairy tales and serve moon cakes. We like the festival very much because it is an opportunity for us to gather with our family and friends to enjoy the moonlight and many special refreshments.
