The origin of Quan ho
A typical form of Vietnamese folk music O
Originating in the 13th century, in Bac Ninh province, Vietnam.
Over 300 years of existence
An essential part of Vietnamese culture & A pride of Vietnamese.
Form
A pair of female singers sing a “chanllenge pharse”.
A pair of male singers sing a “matching phrase”.
Once they are finished, the order is reversed and The men will issue their own challenge phrase with a different melody.

Male singers (lien anh)
Five – body ao dai
Standing neck.
Longer pillow.
Inside, it has one or two blouses then ao dai.
The male singer’s pants are white and wide – legged.
Female singers (lien chi)
Seven shirts are interlocked:
The intermost is a brightly colored bib.
Bib has two type: bib saw neck and bib neck border.
Outside is a white, yellow and ivory blouse.
Final is five – body ao dai.
