I. DIALOGUE:

S2: He saw it on Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock.
What is the tense of the verbs in the conversation?
The simple past tense.
What is the form?
S + V- ed / V2
What is the meaning?
Express the action which happened in the past.

S2: She went to the concert performed by Hanoi singers.
S1:When did she go?
S2: She went there on Saturday afternoon at 8 o’clock.
S1: What did Lan do on the weekend?
S2: She went camping held by Y&Y.
S1:When did she go?
S2: She went camping all the weekend.
S1: What did Nam do on the weekend?
S2: He watched a soccer match Dong Thap vs The Cong.
S1:When did he watch?
S2: He watched it on Sunday afternoon at 4 o’clock..
S1: What did Hoa do on the weekend?
S2: She went to see the play called “ Much Ado About Nothing”.
S1:When did she go to see it ?
S2: She saw it on Sunday afternoon at 7 o’clock.
II. EXERCISE 2:
Lan and her friends are holding a fare well party for Maryam. Look at the picture and write the things they did to prepare for the party.
Nga made a cake.
2. Nam hung colouful lamps on the wall.
3. Mai bought flowers.
4. Ba painted a picture of Hanoi.
5. Lan and Hoa went shopping.

III. MODEL SENTENCE:
I wish you had a longer vacation.
Form:
S1+wish+S2+V2/V-ed
Use:
Express wishes in the present. (When we want really to be different and exactly opposite of the truth)
Note:
Be : were ( all of the subjects)
Example :
1. You are not very tall.
I wish I were taller
2. It’s so hot. You want to be in the swimming pool.
I wish I were in the swimming pool now.
IV. EXERCISE 3 (page12-SGK)

V. HOMEWORK:
Do the exercise 1,2,3 on page 11,12 into your notebook.
Make three wishes of your own.
Do the exercise in the workbook.
