transport, people have more choice of holiday destination
and can now visit even the remotest parts of the world.
Tourism has certainly become an important factor in the
development of many countries.
An obvious benefit of tourism is that it plays a key role in
economic growth. It contributes greatly to the income of a
region or country. It also brings job opportunities to all
kinds of people, and therefore helps promote prosperity in
diverse fields. Another positive aspect of tourism is that it
helps promote international understanding and
cooperation among nations. In addition, tourism can
improve the standard of living of local or rural
communities, so young people are encouraged to stay in
their hometown to build a good life rather than move to
big cities. Finally, tourism brings cultural benefits, as
travellers learn about the history and culture of a place,
and spread them around the world.

One of the drawbacks of tourism is the damage

* Sample writing:
So many places in the world heavily rely on tourism as a key source
of income and employment nowadays; however, tourism can also
be a source of problems too. One of the drawbacks of tourism is
the pressure on population. To be specific, the number of visitors
raises the number of people in an area, which causes traffic jams
and social vices. Many cities and towns become overcrowded with
tourists; their vehicles cause traffic jams as well as air and noise
pollution. Besides, tourists consume a lot of local resources such as
water, food, energy, etc., which results in many other depressions.
Secondly, things like ancient buildings, monuments, and temples
often struggle to cope with the vast amounts of tourist traffic and
they suffer wear and tear or damage. Some areas can be inundated
with visitors during busy times, and then virtually deserted for
many months. In conclusion, the development of tourism has both
benefits and disadvantages, we need to have the right control over
it and prevent the damage caused by tourism.
* Sample writing:
Tourism plays an important role in a economic
development; however, it causes some negative
effects. One of the most catastrophic effect is
environmental pollution. The first thing is that tourism
often puts pressure on natural resources through
over-comsuption, often in places where resources
are already scare. Next, tourism puts enormous
stress on local land use, and can lead to soil erosion,
increased pollution, natural habitat loss, and more
pressure on endangered species. The habitats of
plants and wildlife are lost due to the construction of
tourist areas and tourist activities. To sum up, the
development of tourism has a serious effect without
a suitable control.
