 Divide the class into 2 teams.
 Each team will take turns to answer a question. A picture will appear on the screen
and the pupils will have to look and say aloud using the structure “It's (red).”
 For each correct answer, the pupils can help the monkey jump one step.
 Explain that the faster will be the winner.

Notes for teachers
 Have pupils say numbers from 1 to 5 and call out the colours after each number.
 Have pupils colour the black and white parts of the picture following the key across the top.
 Go around the classroom and support the pupils if they have any problems.
 Give encouraging words to pupils' pictures.
 Point to parts of the pupil's pictures and ask: “What colour is it?”

Notes for teachers
 Play the CD for the first time.
 Have pupils listen, find, and point to the item(s) in the given colour within the big
picture. Say: “It's yellow. It's green…” and have the students point to parts of the
picture in that colour.
 Play the CD for the second time and have the pupils repeat a few times, then have the
pupils do the activity in pairs.
 Invite some pairs to come to the board and practice speaking.
 Give constructive feedback and correct mistakes if the pupils have any.

Let's make a circle!
 Have the pupils sit in a circle around the teacher.
 Review the flashcards again (red/ blue/yellow/green/pink ,...)
 Explain the game: The teacher will hand out flashcards to the pupils and call out a
colour, whoever has that flashcard has to stand up and say the vocabulary word.
 Pass the flashcards around to different pupils after a few rounds.
 Give stickers to the pupils who get the correct answers.
