Notes for teachers

 Use the pictures in slide 8 to slide 12 to introduce vocabulary of
colours to pupils.
 With each slide, show the picture first, then ask pupils "What
colour is it?”, call some pupils to stand up to answer and wait
for their answer (Vietnamese answers are acceptable).
 After that, show the answers on the slides, play the audio for the
whole class to listen and repeat (repeat chorally, in groups,
and individually).
 Then, show the flashcards of the words (both picture side and
word side), ask pupils to listen and repeat the words, then stick
the flashcards on the board one by one and write down the
words.

 Invite 2 teams, each team has 4 or 5 members.
 Have them make 2 lines.
 Show flashcards of colours and ask them to call out the words.
 Whoever says the word first and correctly will get a star for his/her
team. Take turns.
 The team which gets more stars will be the winner.

- Ask students to prepare some school objects in different colours and put
them on the table. (T says: I need something blue -> Ss take and show
something blue, …)
- Divide the class into 2 teams. Invite 1 student from each team to come
up and play the game.
- Have a student say the colour and the other has to take an item that
has the colour matching with it. Take turn and give their teams star for
each correct answer. (invite 3 pairs)
