SIMPLE PAST TENSE (Thì quá khứ đơn)
1. To be: thì, là, ở
a) Câu khẳng định : S + was / were …….
b) Câu phủ định :

S + was / were + not…….

c) Câu nghi vấn :

(Từ để hỏi) + was / were + S …?
Yes, S + was / were.
No, S + wasn't/ weren't.

* Chú ý : S (chủ ngữ)
I / He / She / It / Danh từ số ít

We / You / They / Danh từ số nhiều + were

SIMPLE PAST TENSE (Thì quá khứ đơn)

2. Động từ thường:
a) KĐ: S + Ved / V2 …
b) PĐ: S + didn't + V0 …
c) NV: (Từ để hỏi) + did + S + V0 . …?
 Yes, S + did. / No, S + didn't.
* Cách dùng :
- Diễn tả hành động đã xảy ra và chấm dứt trong quá khứ có thời
gian xác định.
Ex : - Yesterday, he walked to school.
- She went to London last year.

SIMPLE PAST TENSE (Thì quá khứ đơn)

*Dấu hiệu nhận biết :
- yesterday : ngày hôm qua;

- ago: cách đây, cách nay

- last
: qua, rồi
- in 1990, in the past, …( thời gian trong quá khứ)
* CÁCH THÊM “ed ”
-Những động từ có 1 âm tiết và có nguyên âm đứng giữa 2 phụ âm, thì
gấp đôi phụ âm cuối rồi thêm ( -ed ). Ex: stop -> stopped.
- Những động từ tận cùng là “y” mà trước “y” là 1 phụ âm thì đổi “y” ->
Ex: study -> studied.
“i” rồi thêm -ed.
- Những động từ tận cùng là “e” ta chỉ thêm “d”.
Ex: hate -> hated
love-> loved

* Cách đọc đuôi ed (Có 3 cách đọc)
1. /-id / khi động từ tận cùng bằng âm: / t /, / d /.
Ex: wanted ,needed , visited
2. /-t / khi động từ tận cùng bằng âm: / p /, /s /, / f /, / k /, ch, sh
Ex: washed , watched , looked…
3. /-d / khi động từ tận cùng bằng âm còn lại
Ex: played , seemed , loved…
