FORM:

 USE: We use reported speech with Gerund in order to report thanking, apology, accusation, suggestion, admittance ... (để tường thuật lời cảm ơn, xin lỗi, lời đề nghị ....của ai đó)

S + V + O +prepositon + (not) + V-ing
accuse of : buộc tội ai về việc gì
blame for : đổ lỗi cho ai về việc gì
congratulate on : khen ngợi ai về việc gì
criticize S.O for V-ing: chỉ trích ai về điều gì
warn against : khuyến cáo ai đừng làm gì
thank for : cảm ơn ai về việc gì
prevent from : ngăn cản ai khỏi việc gì
apologize for : xin lỗi về điều gì
insist on/up : cố nài làm gì
dream of V-ing : ước mơ làm điều gì
think of : nghĩ về ai
admit : thừa nhận đã làm gì
deny V- ing : phủ nhận đã làm gì
suggest : đề nghị làm điều gì
Note:
 Change Subject Pronouns, Object pronouns, Possessive adjectives,... in reported speech
 Change adverbs of time, place
 Change the verb tense if the introducing verb is in past tense.
e.g.: “You didn’t pay attention to what I said,” the teacher said to him

→ The teacher accused him of not paying attention to what she had said.
