Do you know ...?
- The present simple is used to talk about daily habits and routines or repeated actions.
The present continuous is used to talk about something that is happening or not happening now, at the moment of speaking.
Watch out! Some words that can give you clues about which tense are:
- Present simple: usually, always, every day, once a day, twice a week...
- present continuous: now, at the moment, presently, look!, listen!, be careful!, hey!, shu!...
1. Read the text and choose the correct verb form.
Mrs Hang is a housewife. Every day, she (1) does / is doing most of the housework. She (2) cooks / is cooking, washes the clothes and (3) cleans / is cleaning the house.
