2. Read the text below and decide which of the the following is the best title for it.
a. Doing Housework is Good for Children.
b. Husbands Who Share Housework Make Their Wives Happy.
c. Sharing Housework Makes the Family Happier.
In many cultures, doing housework is considered a woman’s duty. The mother is usually the homemaker, who has to do most of the household chores, while the father is the breadwinner, who is responsible for the family finances. However, it is not good for the mother when the rest of the family does not help out. When families share household chores, it is good for them as individuals and good for all the relationships within the family.
According to psychologists, most people do not realise the enormous benefits that come to a family when husbands and children share the housework. Children who share the housework with their mums and dads do better at school, become more sociable, and have better relationships with their
teachers and friends. They learn good skills, are more responsible, and tend to be overall good people. When men share the housework, they tend to have better relationships with their wives. Women often feel happy when they see their husbands doing housework because it says, ‘He cares about me and he doesn’t want to put all of the housework on me.’ Women whose husbands do not contribute to the household chores are more vulnerable to illness and tend to think more about divorce.
When everyone works together on household chores, it creates a positive atmosphere for the family and sets a good example for the children. This is especially true if mum and dad can find a way to work well together and are not critical of each other

Doing chores helps children learn about what they need to do to care for themselves, a home and a family. They learn skills they can use in their adult lives, like preparing meals, cleaning, organising and keeping a garden.
Being involved in chores also gives children experience of relationship skills like communicating clearly, negotiating, cooperating and working as a team.
When children contribute to family life, it helps them feel competent and responsible. Even if they don’t enjoy the chore, when they keep going they get the feeling of satisfaction that comes with finishing a task.
And sharing housework can also help families work better and reduce family stress. When children help out, chores get done sooner, and parents have less to do. This frees up time for the family to spend doing fun things together.
Nowadays when society develop day by day, people have no time to do chores, especially women. Not only do they have full-time job, but they also take care of their children and do the housework. In my opinion, family members should share housework together. One reason is that sharing housework can connect family members. Adult members do labors like laundry and cooking, children just do simple chores like watering garden or making their bed. Sharing housework makes us feel less tired and equal. Another reason is that doing housework brings us the knowledge of organizion of things, especially children. They will get to know how to keep their belongings tidy and clean. In addition, we will be more responsible for our family. In conclusion, we should share housework to improve the connection as well as understanding between members in the family.
