Phrasal verb = Verb + preposition
Form: Phrasal verb = Verb + preposition
Meaning:
Having a literal meaning
Ex: Would you like to come in and have a drink?
b. Having a non-literal meaning
Ex: Could you look after the children while I’m out?
Note:
Phrasal verb + Obj:
Ex 1: I’ll throw these newspapers away
= I’ll throw away these newspapers
Ex2: Do you want these newspapers or shall I throw them away
Ex3: I came across an old photo in my drawer
