_ Marie Curie (Marie Sklodowska-Curie) was born in Warsaw, Poland on November 7th, 1867 - July 4th, 1934. Marie to Paris to study Physics and Chemistry at school Sorbonne. In school she met and married Pierre Curie. She received "the Nobel Prize in Physics" with her husband and Henri Becquerel in 1903 for research on radiation and became the first women to receive this award. Eight years later, she received "the Nobel Prize in Chemistry" in 1911 for the discovery of two chemical elements radium and polonium
