1. §Ó khuyªn ai nªn lµm mét ®iÒu g× ®ã th× tèt h¬n, ta dïng cÊu tróc sau:
S + had better + V (nguyªn mÉu kh«ng To)
- Had better chØ cã mét d¹ng cho mäi chñ ng÷.

- Had better dïng ®Ó diÔn t¶ mét lêi khuyªn trong hiÖn t¹i.
D¹ng rót gän: ‘d better
Ex: You had better get up early.
We’d better start now.
2. Để khuyên ai đừng nên làm một điều gì đó thì tốt hơn, ta dùng cấu trúc:
S + Had better + Not + V (nguyên mẫu không To)

We, She, He, You, They + Had better + not

Ex: You`d better not smoke.

You`d better not stay up late.
