TEST 3
(THEO KHUNG MỚI NHẤT KỲ THI TỐT NGHIỆP 2025)
I. Read the passage and mark the letter A, B, C or D on your answer sheet to
indicate the best answer to each of the following questions from 1 to 10.
Rainforests
Rainforests are dense, warm, and wet forests found
near the equator. They receive heavy rainfall all year
round and are home to more than half of the world's
plant and animal species. These forests are vital to life
on Earth because they produce oxygen, store carbon,
and regulate the climate.
There are two main types of rainforests: tropical and
temperate. Tropical rainforests are found in places like
the Amazon in South America, the Congo Basin in
Africa, and Southeast Asia. Temperate rainforests exist in
cooler areas such as parts of the U.S. Pacific Northwest
and New Zealand.
Rainforests are rich in biodiversity. From colorful birds
and monkeys in the treetops to frogs and insects on the
forest floor, countless species live in harmony. Many
plants found in rainforests are used to make medicines
that treat serious diseases.
However, rainforests are in danger. Every year, large areas are
destroyed by logging, farming, and mining. This destruction leads
to loss of wildlife, affects the climate, and harms local
communities. When trees are cut down, less carbon is absorbed,
and more greenhouse gases enter the atmosphere.
To protect rainforests, people around the world are working
together. Conservation programs, sustainable farming, and ecotourism all help. Everyone can make a difference by learning
about rainforests, supporting green products, and reducing waste.
Rainforests are treasures of the Earth. If we care for them today,
they will continue to support life for generations to come.
