1️⃣ Công thức
✅ Câu khẳng định
S + was/were + V-ing
 I/He/She/It + was + V-ing
 You/We/They + were + V-ing
👉 Ví dụ:She was studying at 8 p.m.They were playing football.
❌ Câu phủ định
S + was/were + not + V-ing
•was not = wasn't
•were not = weren't
👉 Ví dụ:
•He wasn't sleeping.
•We weren't watching TV.

❓ Câu nghi vấn
Was/Were + S + V-ing?
👉 Ví dụ:
•Was she cooking?
•Were they studying?

2️⃣ Cách dùng
🔹 1. Diễn tả hành động đang xảy ra tại một thời điểm trong quá khứ
 At 9 p.m. last night, I was doing my homework.
🔹 2. Một hành động đang xảy ra thì hành động khác xen vào(Quá khứ tiếp diễn + when + quá khứ đơn)
 I was walking home when it started to rain.
🔹 3. Hai hành động xảy ra song song trong quá khứ(While + quá khứ tiếp diễn)
 While I was studying, my brother was playing games.
3️⃣ Dấu hiệu nhận biết
 At + giờ + thời gian trong quá khứ
 At this time yesterday
