MARIE CURIE ( 1867 – 1934 )
She was born in Warsaw , Poland , on 7th November , 1867 . Her real name was Maria Sklodowska . She got a degree in Physics in 1893 , and got a degree in Maths in 1894 . She met her husband – Pierre Curie - in 1894 . They got married in 1895 . They had two daughters . Marie Curie discovered “ radium ” in 1898 . She and her husband got the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1903 .
PIERRE CURIE ( 1859 – 1906 )
He was born on 15th May , 1859 in France . He and his wife , Marie Curie , got the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1903 . He died in 1906 .
Marie with two her daughters : Irène , born in 1897 , and Eve , born in 1904 .

THOMAS EDISON ( 1847 – 1931 )
He was born on February 11th , 1847 in Milan , Ohio , USA . Edison’s most famous invention was the electric light bulb .
ALFRED NOBEL ( 1833 – 1896 )
Alfred Nobel was born on October 21st , 1833 in Sweden . His important invention was “ dynamite ” – a power explosive . Alfred Nobel established the Nobel Prize , an annual award to honour leaders of science , literature , medicine , and world peace . He died on December10th , 1896 . He was unmarried and had no children .
ISAAC NEWTON ( 1642 – 1727 )
Isaac Newton was born on December 25th , 1642 in Lincolnshire , England . He discovered “ gravity ” ( the pull of the earth ) . He died on March 20th , 1727 and was buried in Westminster Abbey .
MICHAEL FARADAY ( 1791 – 1867 )
He was born in 1791 in Newinton , England . He invented the generator , his most important accomplishment . He made discoveries in the field of chemistry , too . Among them was benzene , the starting point in the manufacture of many dyes , perfumes , and explosives . He died in 1867 in England .
