urbanisation is the process by which urban areas grows bigger as more and more people live in towns and cities

In1990, Vietnam had about 500 large and small cities (the urbanization rate was about 17-18%), in 2000 had 649 and in 2003 had 656...
In 2007, we had 729 cities, including 2 special cities:Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi; 4 urban areas of grade 1: Hai Phong, Da Nang, Can Tho, and Hue; 13 urban areas of grade 2;36 urban centers of grade 3; 39 cities of grade 4 and 635 of grade 5 (reaching the urbanization rate of approximately 27%).
according to the development plan by 2010, that rate will reach 56-60%, by 2020 it will be 80%.
