V- ies ( V kết thúc là phụ âm + Y)=> bỏ y, thêm “ies.”

Thể phủ định
(-) I, you, we, they, my brothers + do not + V- nguyên. ( do not = don’t)
Eg: We don’t like durians.
He, she, It, Bang, Minh, A girl, Your friend + does not + V- nguyên.
(does not= doesn’t)
Eg: My friend doesn’t ride a bike every morning.
=> trợ động từ ở thì HTĐ cho V- thường là : do, does.
