* Grammar
Comparative adjectives

We can use comparative adjectives to compare
two people or things.
* Use: Chúng ta có thể sử dụng tính từ dạng so sánh hơn
để so sánh hai người hoặc vật.

Example:

Tom is
2.30m:
=> Taller

Marry
is
2.20m:
=> Tall

Tom is taller than Mary.
Tall-> Taller

Example:
A house in a city is normally
more expensive than a house in the countryside.

* Có 2 loại tính từ:
- Tính từ ngắn (Short adj):
+ Có 1 âm tiết.
Ex: tall, long, short, …
+ hoặc 2 âm tiết kết thúc bằng đuôi _y,_ow, _er, and _et
Ex: noisy, narrow, clever, quiet, …
- Tính từ dài (Long adj):
Có từ 2 âm tiết trở lên (Trừ trường hợp thứ 2 bên trên).
Ex: beautiful/ modern/ wonderful/ …

* Cấu trúc so sánh:

+ Short Adj:
S1 + be + adj_er + than + S2.
Ex: Lan is taller than Hoa.
+ Long Adj:
S1 + be + more + adj + than + S2.
Ex: Lan is more beautiful than Hoa.

* Chú ý: Cách thêm đuôi “_er”
