Warm-up
Look at these pictures and guess the name each of source of energy correctly.
At present, most of our energy comes from-----------------------( oil, coal and natural gas).
---------------energy can provide enough electricity for the world for hundred of years.

The -------------------- turns windmill and move sailboat,causing energy.

Task1: The following statements list some advantages and disadvantages of various sources of energy. Read and tick () the appropreiate box A( for advantages) or D ( for disadvantages).
Task 2: Work in group. Talk about the advantages and disadvantages of using each alternative source of energy – Solar enegry, Water power, Nuclear power, Geothermal heat.
II/ While - speaking
Example:
A: I think/ believe that wind power can be an alternative source of energy.
B: Why do you think so?
A: Because our major sources of energy are running out while the wind is abundant and unlimited.
B: I know it is also clean and safe to the environment. However, it is not avaible when there is no wind.
Useful language: Some Adjectives are used to give ideas.
III/ Post – speaking.
Task 3: Work in groups. Discuss the actions that you and your friends often do to use energy economically to protect our environment.
We often------------------------------------------------------------------------
We go to school by bike every day to protect our environment as well as practise our health.
We join “the Earth hour” annually.
We often turn off electric devices like lights, fans
when we leave rooms or unnecessary eletric devices.
