I. -ed and –ing participles :

những phân từ này dùng để rút gọn mệnh đề tính ngữ.

–ed participles ( quá khứ phân
từ ) ( v3 / v-ed) : còn gọi là
phân từ bị động , bao hàm
nghĩa bị động.
Ex: These bicycles are very
good . They are made in japan.
These bicycles made in japan
are very good.

Quá khứ phân từ

–ing participles ( hiện tại phân
từ )( v-ing) còn gọi là phân từ
tác động , bao hàm nghĩa tác
động.
Ex:The boy is my brother . He is
sitting in the room.
The boy sitting in the room
is my brother.

hiện tại phân từ

Exercise 1 / p 108 : Các em hãy nhìn vào những người
này ở sân trường Quang Trung. Các em hãy nói xem
mỗi người là ai
1) The man walking up the stairs is Mr Quang
2) The woman carrying a bag is Miss Lien
3) The boy standing next to Miss Lien is
Nam
4) The boy sitting under the tree is Ba
5) The girl is standing by the table is Lan.
6) The girls playing chess are Nga on the
right and Hoa on the left.

Exercise 3 / p109 :Luyện tập đưa ra lời đề nghị sử dụng
cấu trúc do/ would you mind + v-ing? và cách trả lời
các tình huống đó:
a) move /car.

b) put out / cigarette.
A : Would you mind putting out cigarette ?
B: No, of course not.
c) get / coffee.
A: Would you mind getting me some coffee?
B: I'm sorry , I'm too busy right now
d) wait / moment .

B: I'm sorry , I can't . I'm already late for work .
