Công thức thì hiện tại đơn đối với ĐỘNG TỪ TO BE (Là những động từ không diễn tả hành động)
(+) S + AM/ IS/ ARE + (an/a/the) N(s)/ Adj.
(-) S + AM/ IS/ ARE + NOT + (an/a/the) N (s)/ Adj.
(?) AM/ IS/ ARE + S + (an/a/the) N (s)/ Adj. ?
Ex:
I am a student. I am not a doctor.
She is not beautiful. Is it a pencil?
Are you a student? Is he a dentist?
Công thức thì hiện tại đơn đối với ĐỘNG TỪ THƯỜNG (Là những động từ diễn tả hành động)
Khẳng định: S + V(s/es) + O
Phủ định:  S + DO/DOES + NOT + V + O
Nghi vấn:  DO/DOES + S + V + O ?
Notes:
I, We, They, You, N(số nhiều) + Vo
He, She, It, N(số ít) + Vs/es
Ex: I take photos. He takes photos.
I don’t like taking photos. He doesn’t like taking photos.
Nếu V tận cùng bằng những chữ sau: O, S, CH, X, SH, Z thì + “es”
Ex: She watches TV everyday. He washes his bike.
Trong câu có xuất hiện từ sau: every + time (every day, every week, every month, year)

Các trạng từ tần suất xuất hiện trong thì hiện tại đơn:  always, usually, often, sometimes, seldom, rarely, hardly, never.
